This note is a heads-up.
A prelude to what's coming.

The next post will begin an all-new series that will challenge one of the most deeply entrenched ways Christians read the Gospels.

The challenge will be audacious.
It will confront centuries of conviction, tradition, and practice.

Some may be disturbed by it.
Some may dismiss it as trivial.
Some may think it is dangerous.

But others may find it refreshing. Or insightful.
Maybe you will find it freeing.
Maybe you'll say that you already know about this persistent problem.
Or that you've personally had a sense of it for some time.

If the challenge is received as legitimate and on target,
it could change the way we encounter
Matthew, Mark, Luke-Acts, and John
from this point forward.
