The IABC  Lecture Series

A Forum for Responsible, Contextual, & Conversational Biblical Text Study

Inaugural Event

The Installation of Lee Patmore as IABC Senior Teaching Fellow (STF)

What if Pentecost wasn’t meant to stand alone? What if Luke wove it directly to the baptism of Jesus and the hopes of Israel—and we’ve barely noticed? These three presentations trace that connection, showing how Luke-Acts reveals a single story: the Spirit’s descent, the return of God’s presence, and the launch of a worldwide mission.

These videos grew out of a year-long personal project by Lee Patmore—a project that not only deepened his work in Luke-Acts but also earned him recognition as IABC’s first Senior Teaching Fellow.

If the 3 Videos Above Don’t Show Up in Firefox

Just click the shield icon next to the address bar,
turn off Enhanced Tracking Protection for this site,
and reload the page.

Turning off ETP doesn’t put your privacy at risk—no ads or tracking are used here, just embedded videos that Firefox sometimes blocks by default (it doesn't always like multiple videos next to each other). I don't see who visits my site, what the IP address is, or what internet provider is used. I only get general data like what pages were viewed, how long someone stayed, and what city they might be in. I can’t see who someone is unless that person fills out a form or clicks through a link in one of my emails.

Another fix:  just use a different browser, like Chrome.

on his appointment as
Senior Teaching Fellow (STF)
at IABC

Lee Patmore has been a vital part of IABC’s Platinum (Greek and English) Program since 2012.

From the beginning, he has distinguished himself as both a serious student and a steady encouragement to others—engaging deeply in biblical texts, as well as occasionally teaching and mentoring others.

Lee's time with IABC has combined deep textual study with real-time teaching, preaching, writing, and application.

More "hands-on" than ivory tower, Lee's work has always reflected practical spiritual interests and applications of technical theory.

Lee's academic and spiritual formation have come not from institutional degrees but from a  life of ministry: both of serving and of study. This is always grounded a deep personal drive immersed in a passion for the Spirit of God.

On the basis of his years of dedication and work with IABC, Lee accepted a new challenge early in 2024: a difficult year-long guided project in textual study that he will now share with all of us.

His work has been similar in rigor and quality to a multi-year Doctor of Ministry program or academic Master of Theology program in NT Greek and biblical texts.

With this accomplishment, Lee becomes the first to achieve IABC’s  Senior Teaching Fellow (STF) status. This is the highest merit-based credential and acknowledgment we bestow.

A skilled and accomplished mechanic and long-time church leader in Canada, Lee Patmore is a model for all would-be Bible students. As you will see by hearing him, his voice is forged, not borrowed.
